Srinagar Garhwal: Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University has announced the schedule for its annual fest for the 2024-25 session. This year, inter-faculty and inter-college cultural and academic competitions will take place from April 21 to April 24, 2025, at Swami Manthan Auditorium, Chauras Campus. Due to ongoing building construction, the event will not be held at Birla Campus, where it is usually organized.
The fest will be conducted in two phases. The inter-faculty events will be held on April 21 and 22, followed by inter-college competitions on April 23 and 24. Students will get a platform to showcase their talent in music, dance, drama, painting, and literary contests, with a total of 17 competitions planned. The primary aim of this event is to provide students with a special platform to display their cultural and academic excellence.
A key highlight of the fest is the debate competition, themed “The Growing Impact of Artificial Intelligence: Opportunities and Challenges.” This contemporary topic will allow students to present their views on AI, discussing its advantages and drawbacks.

During the event, students who have excelled at the All India or North Zone levels in extracurricular activities such as NCC, NSS, and sports will be honored. The university has requested lists of eligible students from all affiliated colleges and institutions.
