Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced two major relief measures for those affected by the recent disaster in Dharali village, Uttarkashi district. Families whose homes have been completely destroyed will receive an immediate assistance amount of ₹5 lakh for rehabilitation and resettlement. In addition, the families of those who lost their lives in the disaster will also be given ₹5 lakh as financial support during this difficult period.
To ensure comprehensive recovery and sustainable livelihood restoration, the Chief Minister announced the formation of a three-member committee chaired by the Revenue Secretary. The committee will submit its preliminary report to the government within a week. It will prepare a long-term and effective policy framework for Dharali’s rehabilitation, focusing on the safety and livelihood of the local community.
CM Dhami reiterated the state government’s commitment to stand firmly with every disaster-affected citizen and to provide all possible assistance. He assured that relief and rehabilitation measures will be implemented promptly and effectively at the administrative level to help the affected residents rebuild their lives.
