Under the “Government at Your Doorstep” initiative, a large multi-purpose camp was organized on Thursday in the remote Tyuni region under the leadership of District Magistrate (DM) Savin Bansal. During the camp, locals registered 173 issues and demands, with the DM addressing most concerns on the spot. For pending issues, strict instructions were issued to officials for timely resolution. The camp also offered free health check-ups for over 596 people, issued disability and other certificates, and provided information about welfare schemes through more than 30 departmental stalls.
Residents from villages including Hanol, Mendrath, Daragad, Sawda, Vinad-Bastil, Koona, Raigi, and Tyuni presented grievances related to roads, education, drinking water, electricity, PM Awas Yojana, financial aid, compensation, and ration cards. Addressing the complaints, DM Bansal directed concerned officials to ensure prompt solutions.
Swift Action on Key Issues
Villagers from Sarni reported that their drinking water line was damaged in 2022 during the construction of a motor road by the Public Works Department (PWD). Despite repeated complaints, no action had been taken. DM Bansal instructed PWD to provide compensation within a week, warning of legal action if the directive was not followed.
Similarly, unresolved compensation payments related to the Anu-Chilwad motor road for 20 years prompted the DM to order an immediate meeting with relevant officials for resolution. He also directed the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to propose a residential building for children at Raika Bhatad under the District Mineral Trust Fund. Additionally, the DM advised the Aatal Youth Welfare Committee to submit a proposal for financial aid for educational development in tribal areas.
Women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in Kerad requested tin sheds for community use. DM Bansal ordered the District Development Officer (DDO) to complete the construction using MGNREGA funds and to provide immediate relief funds to SHGs. Moreover, the DM directed the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to submit a proposal for an ASHA worker house at the Community Health Center in Tyuni under the District Plan.
