Greenfield Township to Be Developed on 1354 Acres in Udham Singh Nagar

Uttarakhand has taken a significant step towards industrial and residential development with the approval of a Greenfield Township in Udham Singh Nagar. The state cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, has sanctioned the transfer of 1354 acres of land at Prag Farm to the State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited (SIDCUL) for this ambitious project.

Land Transfer for Township Development
The cabinet has approved the handover of land spanning six villages in the Kichha tehsil — Gaderiabagh, Noorpur, Panthpura, Rajpura, Bandia, and Laxmipur — to SIDCUL. This land was acquired by the state government in 2014 and is now earmarked for the Greenfield Township, which will feature both industrial and residential zones.

Here is a detailed breakdown of the land distribution:

  • Gaderiabagh: 264.47 acres
  • Noorpur: 236.38 acres
  • Panthpura: 137.06 acres
  • Rajpura: 272.66 acres
  • Bandia: 178.02 acres
  • Laxmipur: 265.31 acres

The land has been designated under category 5-1 as “Naveen Parti Bhoomi,” indicating its suitability for development. The township is expected to bring significant economic growth to the region by attracting investments, generating employment opportunities, and providing modern residential and industrial facilities.

Boost to Industrial and Urban Development
The Greenfield Township is set to transform Udham Singh Nagar into a major hub for businesses and residents alike. It is part of the government’s broader strategy to promote industrialization, enhance infrastructure, and ensure sustainable urban growth in Uttarakhand. The integrated township will provide state-of-the-art facilities, making it an attractive destination for investors and enterprises.

SIDCUL will oversee the development process, ensuring the establishment of quality infrastructure, including roads, commercial complexes, housing units, and essential civic amenities. The project is also expected to contribute to the state’s revenue generation while fostering regional development.
