Tension gripped Kishanpur village under Pathri police station limits in Haridwar after the body of an e-rickshaw driver was discovered inside a local orchard. Initial investigation suggests the man may have been strangled to death.
According to police, the orchard owner informed authorities upon finding the body lying in his field. Acting on the tip, Pathri SHO Manoj Nautiyal reached the scene with a police team and began the investigation.
The deceased has been identified as Pradeep (48), son of Omprakash, a resident of Ambuwala. His e-rickshaw was also found parked near the body, indicating that the crime may have occurred at or near the location.
While police suspect strangulation as the cause of death, confirmation awaits the post-mortem report. Initial leads point toward a possible dispute, though nothing is confirmed yet. Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the area and questioning local residents to trace the culprits.
