Uttarakhand continues to experience intense rainfall, prompting the Meteorological Department to issue an orange alert for heavy rain in several districts, including Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Champawat, and Udham Singh Nagar. Gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 km/h are also expected in these regions. A yellow alert has been issued for moderate to heavy rain in other districts.
In response to the forecast, Pauri District Magistrate Swati S. Bhadauria has ordered the closure of all schools (Classes 1 to 12) and Anganwadi centers in the district for Monday. She also directed all department officials to remain on alert and advised residents to avoid vulnerable and disaster-prone areas, especially near rivers and streams.
Meanwhile, rain-triggered landslides have affected road connectivity across the state. Out of 47 roads that were blocked due to debris, 20 have been reopened, while 27—mostly in rural areas—remain inaccessible. According to the State Emergency Operation Center, four rural roads are blocked in Rudraprayag, six in Chamoli, one in Tehri, four in Uttarkashi, six in Pithoragarh, two in Bageshwar, and four in Dehradun. Efforts are underway to restore these routes.
Traffic remains normal in Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Almora, Haridwar, Champawat, and most parts of Pauri district.
