The weather in Uttarakhand remained unstable today, and the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours. According to the advisory, districts likely to be affected include Bageshwar, Champawat, Dehradun, Haridwar, Nainital, Pauri Garhwal, Tehri Garhwal, and Udham Singh Nagar.
Authorities have warned residents and tourists to avoid going near rivers and streams during the rains. People are also advised to postpone travel to hilly areas unless absolutely necessary to prevent accidents and ensure safety.
