Dehradun: The district administration has started a government de-addiction centre in Raiwala to help people overcome drug and alcohol addiction. The centre offers free counselling, medical treatment, and rehabilitation for those who want to quit addiction and rebuild their lives.
District Social Welfare Officer Deepankar Ghildiyal said that the centre is being run under the direction of the District Magistrate, with support from the Social Welfare Department and the voluntary organisation SPYM.
Chief Development Officer Abhinav Shah said that the de-addiction helpline number 9625777399 should reach every person who needs help. He directed all departments to promote the helpline widely through offices, community centres, gram panchayats, Anganwadi workers, and police stations.

CDO said that the goal is to make sure every person struggling with addiction knows that help is just one call away.
