High-Speed Truck Rams Six Vehicles in Mohabbewala; Driver Dozed Off Moments Before Crash

A major road accident took place in Mohabbewala on Friday around 8:30 AM, when a speeding cement-loaded truck lost control near the area and crashed into six vehicles, including multiple cars and a Vikram tempo. The truck later slipped into a roadside drain, damaging nearby shops. Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported.

According to police officials, the truck was entering Dehradun from the Mohand side at high speed through the expressway when the driver allegedly fell asleep. The vehicle became unmanageable and caused the collision, creating panic in the area. Following the crash, diesel began leaking from the truck, posing the risk of a major fire.

Police, traffic personnel, and fire brigade teams reached the spot immediately, securing the area and diverting traffic. The accident site was cleared within two and a half hours. CO Sadar Ankit Kandari and traffic authorities also inspected the location.

The truck driver told police that he lost control after a momentary nap and seeing another truck reversing ahead. SP Traffic Lokjit Singh said that action was taken promptly to restore road movement and ensure safety.
