A hydrogen cylinder explosion at Surya Roshni Limited’s plant in Kashipur on Thursday morning led to the death of one worker and injuries to several others. The blast occurred around 11:30 AM, prompting an immediate shutdown of operations and evacuation of staff from the premises via buses. Authorities have since restricted access to the site.
According to initial reports, the deceased suffered severe burn injuries, and both legs were severed due to the impact. Emergency response teams, including police and district officials, reached the location shortly after the incident to assess the situation and begin investigations.
Following the explosion, strict security measures have been enforced at the factory gate, with no employees or outsiders allowed to enter. The company has not yet issued an official statement on the cause of the blast or the number of people injured.
