India Declares Future Terror Attacks Will Be Treated as Acts of War

Amid escalating tensions with Pakistan, the Indian government has issued a stern warning, declaring that any future terrorist act on Indian soil will be treated as an act of war. According to government sources cited by news agency PTI, India has decided to respond to any such terrorist activity as an effort to wage war against the nation.

This assertive stance follows Operation Sindoor, during which Indian forces conducted precise strikes on nine terror camps located in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (POJK) and inside Pakistan on May 7, in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

In a visible show of preparedness, senior military officials—including Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vyomika—appeared in combat uniform during media briefings and high-level meetings with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Army Chief and other top military personnel were also seen in battle dress, signaling India’s readiness for any aggression.

Pakistan, reeling from the targeted Indian action, termed the strike under Operation Sindoor as an “act of war” and has since attempted to provoke India through drone intrusions and missile threats. Despite these provocations, India has so far exercised restraint but made it clear that future incidents will invite decisive and war-like responses.
