International Yoga Day: Uttarakhand Prepares for Major Event in Gairsain, 10 Foreign Envoys to Participate

In preparation for the International Yoga Day on June 21, Additional Secretary Vijay Kumar Jogdande held a key review meeting with district officials at the Uttarakhand Assembly premises in Bhararisain, Gairsain. During the meeting, he issued essential directions to ensure the successful execution of the state-level celebration.

Jogdande informed that ambassadors from 10 countries will participate in the yoga session to be held on June 21. Along with them, officials from all government offices and healthcare centers across the region will also actively take part in the event. He emphasized that detailed planning is being carried out, including the appointment of trained yoga instructors, arrangement of necessary materials, and promotion of the event at a wide scale.

The state-level program will be hosted in Bhararisain, and public participation is also encouraged. All arrangements, including seating, equipment, and participant coordination, are to be finalized by June 19. Considering the monsoon season, directives have been issued to set up German hangars along with reliable sound and lighting systems to prevent any disruption.

Jogdande stressed the importance of maintaining high standards and timely execution of all activities. He added that the International Yoga Day not only promotes physical fitness but also enhances mental well-being, making it a significant global event.
