On January 7, a joint session of the U.S. Congress, chaired by Vice President Kamala Harris, formally certified Donald Trump’s victory. His running mate, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance, also secured 312 electoral votes, paving the way for their inauguration on January 20.
Showcasing Indian Culture
Post the swearing-in ceremony, a parade from Capitol Hill to the White House will feature the Texas-based Indian-American ‘Shivam Dhol Tasha Pathak’ group. This marks the group’s debut on an international stage, where they will showcase India’s vibrant cultural heritage with their traditional percussion performance.
