A bomb threat email sent to Kailash Hospital in Jogiwala, Dehradun created panic among hospital staff and law enforcement agencies on Saturday evening. The email, received from an unidentified sender, threatened to blow up the hospital, prompting immediate action from the police.
Following the alert, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ajay Singh directed a police team along with the Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad to the site. The teams conducted a thorough search of all critical areas including wards, OPD, basement, and parking. However, no suspicious items were found during the inspection.
Hospital authorities were instructed to maintain heightened vigilance. According to SSP Ajay Singh, similar threat emails were also sent to other branches of Kailash Hospital, including those in Ghaziabad. Investigations are underway to trace the origin and motive behind the emails.
The incident has raised concerns over security at healthcare facilities, and police are treating the matter with high seriousness.
