Kapkot Block in Bageshwar district has secured the top spot among all aspirational blocks in Uttarakhand and achieved an impressive 40th rank at the national level under NITI Aayog’s Aspirational Block Programme. The latest Delta Rankings highlight Kapkot’s consistent progress in grassroots development and mark it as a model for other blocks in the country.
The Aspirational Block Programme, spearheaded by NITI Aayog, aims to uplift underdeveloped blocks through measurable progress in key sectors—health, education, agriculture, water resources, financial inclusion, skill development, and infrastructure. Kapkot’s performance reflects balanced and sustained improvements across all these areas.
Officials credit this success to the collaborative efforts of local administration, public representatives, frontline workers, and an active community. District Magistrate Ashish Bhatgain stated, “Kapkot’s achievement is a proud moment for the entire district. It shows that determined teamwork and community engagement can lead to remarkable change.
