Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing on Highway, All Safe

A helicopter en route to Kedarnath made an emergency landing on a road near Badasu in Rudraprayag district due to a technical fault. The aircraft, operated by Crystal Aviation Pvt Ltd, had just taken off from the Badasu helipad when the pilot noticed an issue and skillfully landed the helicopter on the road to ensure the safety of the passengers.

The helicopter was carrying five passengers, along with a pilot and co-pilot. According to reports, the co-pilot sustained minor injuries. Local administration and police teams reached the spot immediately and safely escorted the passengers to a secure location.

Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA) CEO Sonika confirmed that the helicopter was flying from Sersi to Kedarnath and had to land outside the helipad as a precautionary measure. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been informed about the incident. Other shuttle operations to Kedarnath are continuing as per schedule.
