The driver of an express train traveling from Anand Vihar Terminal to Kotdwar fell seriously ill near Saneh Road Halt station in Uttarakhand. Reacting promptly, the assistant driver took control of the train and safely brought it to Kotdwar station.

The incident occurred in the early hours, and the driver, identified as Baburam, was given first aid at the station before being referred to a higher medical center for further treatment.

Due to the medical emergency, the empty train rake was delayed and remained at Kotdwar station until 10:30 AM, although it was scheduled to reach Najibabad by 5:00 AM. A replacement driver was called from Laksar to move the train forward.

Earlier disruptions on the railway track had already affected other passenger train schedules. However, the quick response by railway staff helped prevent any major incident. Authorities have been informed, and further investigation is underway.
