Ahead of the Lohri and Makar Sankranti bathing festival, Haridwar Police have issued a traffic diversion plan in view of the expected heavy influx of pilgrims and rising traffic pressure. As per the plan, entry of all heavy vehicles into the city will remain completely restricted from Monday midnight until the conclusion of the festival.
The general public has been advised to check the traffic plan before starting their journey and strictly use designated routes. Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Singh Dobal has directed officials to ensure strict enforcement of the traffic arrangements.
