Dehradun – Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, has approved the construction of the proposed Marine Drive Elevated Road in Srinagar, Uttarakhand. The announcement came after a meeting in New Delhi with Uttarakhand’s Education and Health Minister, Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, who discussed the project in detail.
Dr. Rawat stated that the project will ease traffic congestion in Srinagar, improve transportation, and contribute to environmental conservation. The elevated road is also expected to boost tourism and economic development in the region. During the meeting, Dr. Rawat invited Gadkari to visit Uttarakhand during the upcoming Char Dham Yatra, which the Union Minister accepted.
He further added that technical aspects of the project were discussed, and the residents of Srinagar will soon benefit from this key infrastructure development.
