Dehradun, 19 Nov: The Health & Family Welfare Department will soon receive 103 new Nursing Officers. The Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board has issued a recruitment advertisement for direct recruitment to these backlog posts of Nursing Officers (Male/Female). The last date for online applications has been fixed as 22 December 2025. Filling these backlog posts will significantly strengthen healthcare services in the hill regions of the state and improve patient care.
Due to the active efforts and departmental monitoring by Health Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, the recruitment process for 103 backlog posts of Nursing Officers (Male/Female) has begun. The Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board has released the recruitment notification, with online applications scheduled to start from 2 December 2025, and the last date set for 22 December 2025.
Posts under direct recruitment include Nursing Officer (Female), Diploma holders – 63 posts; Nursing Officer (Female), Degree holders – 31 posts; Nursing Officer (Male), Diploma holders – 5 posts; Nursing Officer (Male), Degree holders – 4 posts.
Earlier, the Medical Services Selection Board also announced recruitment for 587 vacant posts of Nursing Officers in Medical Colleges under the Department of Medical Education. Thus, a total of 690 Nursing Officer posts across the Health & Family Welfare Department and the Medical Education Department will soon be filled. After recruitment, selected Nursing Officers will be posted in Government Medical Colleges and various medical units across the state, strengthening health services and improving patient care.
In the meanwhile, recruitment for 30 Dental Hygienist posts has also been announced. The recruitment process for 30 backlog posts of Dental Hygienists under the Health & Family Welfare Department has also begun. The department had sent a requisition to the Uttarakhand Medical Services Selection Board for direct recruitment to these posts. Accordingly, the Selection Board issued the advertisement today.
Out of the 30 advertised posts, those unreserved are 4; Scheduled Caste – 14; Scheduled Tribe – 3; Other Backward Classes – 9.
The Selection Board has invited online applications, which candidates can submit via the official website starting 3 December 2025. The last date for applications is 23 December 2025.
“After the Medical Education Department, the Health Department is also conducting recruitment for 103 Nursing Officer posts. In total, 690 Nursing Officer posts will be filled in both departments. Additionally, recruitment for 30 Dental Hygienist posts has also begun. With the appointment of Nursing Officers and Dental Hygienists, the quality of patient care will improve, treatment services will be strengthened, and the general public will have access to timely and better healthcare facilities,” stated Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, Minister of Medical Health & Medical Education, Uttarakhand.
