Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand, on Saturday morning at 9:36 AM. The earthquake had a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter scale, with its epicenter located near Chamoli Bazaar at a depth of five kilometers below the surface.
District Disaster Management Officer Nandkishore Joshi stated that due to the mild intensity, most people did not feel the tremors. No reports of loss of life or property have been received so far.
