Dehradun, 16 Oct: Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ganesh Joshi today held a joint review meeting at his Camp Office with officials from the Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Development, and Sainik Welfare regarding the preparations for the upcoming events to be organised as part of the State Foundation Day (Silver Jubilee) celebrations on 9 November.
During the meeting, Minister Joshi held detailed discussions on the proposed framework of the state-level programme scheduled for 7 November in Haldwani. The event will be based on the theme “Uttarakhand ki Shaan – Veer Jawan, Samriddh Nari, Sashakt Kisan”. He instructed officials to ensure that all departmental preparations are completed in a time-bound and coordinated manner.
Calling the Silver Jubilee of State Foundation Day a moment of pride for every citizen of Uttarakhand, the Minister said that the celebrations will showcase the 25-year journey of progress, particularly highlighting achievements in agriculture, rural development, and soldier welfare. He informed that all four departments—Agriculture, Horticulture, Rural Development, and Sainik Welfare—will jointly organise a grand state-level programme in Haldwani.
On this occasion, various development projects will be launched and inaugurated. Minister Joshi directed officials to ensure seamless coordination and impactful planning so that the event becomes an inspiring and memorable celebration for the people of the state.
Present at the meeting were Commissioner, Rural Development, Anuradha Pal, Additional Secretary Jharna Kamthan, Director, Agriculture, Parmaram, Director Horticulture Mission Mahendra Pal, MD, UPNL, Brigadier JNS Bisht (Retd), Deputy Director, Sainik Welfare, Wing Commander (Retd) Nidhi Badhani, along with other senior officials.
