The regional conclave of Amar Ujala’s “MSME For India” series was inaugurated in Rudrapur by MP Ajay Bhatt, MLA Shiv Arora, and Mayor Deepak Bali. MP Bhatt praised the initiative, noting MSMEs’ vital role in India’s economy and their contributions even to major corporations like Tata. He also highlighted government funding extended to MSMEs during the COVID-19 period.
The conclave, held at JC’s Public School auditorium, brought together entrepreneurs, policymakers, and experts from Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital districts. Chief guest Ajay Bhatt, along with special guests including Rudrapur Mayor Vikas Sharma, Kashipur Mayor Deepak Bali, SSP Manikant Mishra, ADM Kaustubh Mishra, and senior officials from taxation and industry departments, discussed the challenges, solutions, and opportunities for MSMEs.
During the third session, officers from police, GST, and industry departments directly addressed entrepreneurs’ concerns. Several issues were resolved on the spot, while others were taken up for follow-up action. SSP Manikant Mishra emphasized the importance of security for industrial success, citing the establishment of multiple police posts and surveillance systems in SIDCUL.
Entrepreneurs and trade leaders, including Sanjay Juneja, Deepak Behar, and Sandeep Chawla, presented key demands, with the call for a single-window clearance system emerging as a major request to ease business operations.
