In view of the upcoming Char Dham Yatra and the summer tourist season in Mussoorie, the Dehradun district administration has gone into alert mode. District Magistrate Savin Bansal has taken strict action to ensure smooth traffic and infrastructure readiness. He has sanctioned ₹40 lakh for the repair and construction work of the Mussoorie-Kimari motor road, which serves as an alternative route to Mussoorie. The DM has instructed that all work be completed by May 15 on a war footing.

To manage the expected tourist surge, the administration has also ordered the activation of a shuttle service before the start of the peak summer season. DM Bansal directed the establishment of shuttle vehicle holding zones and help desks at Library Chowk and Picture Palace, in coordination with the Mussoorie Municipal Council, Police, and Transport Department.

Instructions have been issued to identify authorized parking zones and extended vehicle parking areas. Hotels in Mussoorie have been asked to regulate vehicles based on their available parking capacity. Police and transport authorities will mark designated parking areas near Hathipaon bend. Directional signs and proper markers will be installed along the Dehradun-Kingreg parking route and Mussoorie diversion road for shuttle parking.
