Uttarakhand Makes Tourist Registration Mandatory in Mussoorie for Safety and Crowd Management

Starting August 1, tourists visiting Mussoorie will be required to register through a new portal launched by the Uttarakhand Tourism Department. The move aims to manage tourist flow and enhance visitor facilities in the popular hill station, similar to the registration process followed for the Char Dham Yatra.

Tourism Secretary Dheeraj Singh Garbyal stated that the registration system will allow the government to accurately assess tourist numbers and ensure better services. He added that similar systems may be extended to other tourist destinations across the state in the future.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami supported the move, emphasizing that the registration is essential for the convenience and safety of visitors. “Safety is our top priority, and all arrangements are being made keeping that in mind,” he said.
