Seminar on Water Conservation and Plastic Elimination Held Under Namami Gange in Tehri Garhwal

A one-day seminar was organized at the Government Primary School, Jamnikhal, Tehri Garhwal, under the State Clean Ganga Mission’s Namami Gange initiative. The event focused on wastewater management, environmental cleanliness, water conservation, and plastic elimination. It was conducted by the Government College, Chandrabadni (Naikhari).

During the seminar, Dr. Arvind Singh Rana, Professor of the Hindi Department, emphasized the significance of plastic elimination and water conservation. Dr. Poonam Gairola from the Political Science Department raised awareness about the harmful effects of plastic and the need to minimize single-use plastic.

The school principal, Mr. Bagdi, provided insights into practical measures for water conservation and maintaining cleanliness. Students also actively participated by sharing their thoughts on plastic elimination. The seminar’s nodal officer, Dr. G.P. Thapliyal, elaborated on the adverse impacts of environmental pollution. The event concluded with a pledge for environmental protection and plastic elimination, with a total of 92 students participating.
