Dehradun, October 26, 2024 – The National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC), in collaboration with Dehradun Municipal Corporation, held a workshop under the NAMASTE Scheme at the Municipal Corporation auditorium. The workshop educated sanitation workers on various loan schemes to aid in purchasing machinery, tools, vehicles, and PPE kits for safe and effective work.
The session included training on the Manual Scavenging Act 2013, focusing on safety and legal compliance. This initiative aims to enhance the safety and operational standards of sanitation workers.

Key attendees included Assistant Municipal Commissioner (SWM) Rajbir Chauhan, Chief Sanitation Inspector, supervisors, representatives from the Uttarakhand Water Institute, and NSKFDC. NAMASTE Scheme State Coordinator Piyush Uniyal from the Urban Development Directorate joined virtually.
