On October 25, 2024, a workshop under the Namaste Scheme was organized by the National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC) at the Haridwar Municipal Corporation. The event aimed to raise awareness among sewer and septic tank workers about safe cleaning practices, encouraging the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits and other safety gear.
During the workshop, Ayushman Cards were distributed to sanitation workers by Assistant Municipal Commissioner Ravindra Dayal and Chief Sanitation Inspector Sunit. The program was held under the supervision of the District Magistrate Karmendra Singh and Municipal Commissioner (Haridwar Municipal Corporation), Varun Chaudhary.

Additionally, NSKFDC showcased ERSU safety equipment, which was later handed over to Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan by Haridwar Municipal Corporation for further use. The event saw the attendance of Ravindra Dayal (SNA), Sunit (CSI), other chief sanitation inspectors, members from Uttarakhand Jal Sansthan including Executive Engineer Bhim Singh, and the President of the Sanitation Workers Union along with all sanitation workers. Piyush Uniyal, State Coordinator (Namaste Scheme) Uttarakhand, participated virtually.
