National Games: Jyoti Secures Bronze; First Medal for Uttarakhand

Uttarakhand has opened its medal tally at the 38th National Games, with Jyoti Verma from Bageshwar clinching a bronze medal in the Wushu Changquan event. Her remarkable performance has brought the first medal for the state in this prestigious competition.

Jyoti Verma, who serves in the police department of Bageshwar, has made the state proud with her dedication and hard work. The event saw participation from athletes representing Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Chandigarh, Bihar, Goa, and Uttarakhand.

Uttarakhand’s Sports Minister Rekha Arya congratulated Jyoti Verma and expressed confidence that state athletes will continue to win more medals in upcoming events.
