Uttarakhand is gearing up to host training camps for all 34 sports included in the 38th National Games. While four camps have already begun as of November 15, the remaining 30 camps are set to commence by December 15. A detailed schedule specifying the dates and venues for these camps has been finalized.
Amit Sinha, Special Principal Secretary of the Sports Department, informed that a total of 1,360 athletes from across the state will participate in these camps. Each camp will host 40 players (20 male and 20 female) and will focus on enhancing the athletes’ skills and fitness levels with specialized training.
Camps Already Underway
- Volleyball and Handball: Being held in Rudrapur with advanced training equipment and coaching facilities.
- Football: Training is ongoing at the Mini Sports Stadium in Haldwani, leveraging the lush green grounds and well-managed facilities.
- Rugby: Conducted at the Pavilion Ground, Dehradun.
