Athletes from the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIVH), Dehradun, showcased outstanding performance in a recent para lawn bowls competition. Despite it being their debut, the players secured a total of five medals, bringing pride to the institute.

The team, coached by Naresh Singh Nyal, displayed exceptional skill and determination. Their rapid progress was further supported by the guidance of Firoz Khan, Secretary of the Uttarakhand Para Lawn Bowls Association.
The atmosphere at the institute was filled with joy as Principal Amit Sharma congratulated the athletes for their achievements. He also expressed confidence that more visually impaired athletes would be inspired to participate in future events.
The players are now setting their sights on international competitions, aiming to represent Uttarakhand and India at the Asian Para Games and other global championships.
