The Winter Session of Parliament is expected to witness intense debates on Monday as the central government has removed two key bills related to “One Nation, One Election” from its revised legislative agenda. These bills are now likely to be introduced on Tuesday by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal.
According to sources, the Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill and the Union Territories Law Amendment Bill, initially scheduled for Monday, have been deferred by a day. Meanwhile, the Rajya Sabha will commence a two-day discussion on the Constitution starting Monday. The debate will focus on the relevance and success of the Indian Constitution in the present context.
