Passing Out Parade: 419 Bravehearts Join Indian Army as Officers

With a solemn oath to dedicate their body, mind, and life to the nation, 419 Gentlemen Cadets were commissioned into the Indian Army from the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Saturday. Alongside them, 32 cadets from nine friendly foreign countries also passed out, marking a moment of pride and camaraderie.

The grand Passing Out Parade (POP) was reviewed by Lieutenant General B.K.G.M. Lasantha Rodrigo, Chief of the Sri Lankan Army, who took the salute as the Reviewing Officer. The parade began at 6:38 AM with the Marker’s Call, followed by Company Sergeant Majors taking their positions on the Drill Square. At 6:42 AM, cadets marched in sync onto the parade ground with the Advance Call.

Lieutenant General Rodrigo inspected the parade and boosted the morale of the passing-out cadets. He also felicitated the top performers for their excellence.
