Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke with Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami over phone to review the situation caused by the recent disaster in Dehradun. Both leaders assured the state of full central support and said the Union Government stands firmly with Uttarakhand in this crisis.
CM Dhami expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister and Home Minister, noting that their guidance will help accelerate relief operations. He confirmed that administrative teams are fully active in the affected regions and rescue and relief work is being carried out on a war footing.
The Chief Minister personally inspected the disaster-hit areas of Dehradun along with local MLAs and senior officials. He directed authorities to ensure that no affected family faces hardship and that relief materials, shelter, food, water, and healthcare services are provided without delay. He emphasized that the state government stands with every affected family, while NDRF, SDRF, police, and local administration remain on high alert and continue active operations.
