On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday, special rituals and prayers were performed across Uttarakhand’s Char Dham and other prominent pilgrimage sites. Priests prayed for his good health and long life.
At Badrinath Dham, a havan was conducted in the presence of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC) officials, where priests sought blessings from Lord Badri Vishal for the Prime Minister. Similarly, in Kedarnath Dham, a Maharudrabhishek was organized with prayers to Baba Kedar. Priests from both shrines noted that under Modi’s leadership, unprecedented reconstruction and development work has taken place at all four shrines. They also recalled the Prime Minister’s multiple visits to Badrinath and Kedarnath.
In Gangotri and Yamunotri, priests also organized special pujas on his birthday, with large participation from locals and pilgrims. They remarked that under PM Modi’s leadership, India’s global stature has risen significantly, placing the country in a position to lead on the world stage.
Across several other temples in Uttarakhand, spontaneous prayer ceremonies were also held to mark the occasion.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that PM Modi has a deep connection with Uttarakhand, and the people of the state hold him in special regard. He added that devotees across the state offered havans and prayers for the Prime Minister’s well-being and long life. “On behalf of all citizens of Uttarakhand, I extend heartfelt birthday greetings to our respected Prime Minister. May Lord Badri Vishal bless him with a long life,” he said.
