Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed aerial survey of disaster-affected regions in Uttarakhand, Chief Secretary Anand Vardhan and DGP Deepam Seth reviewed security arrangements at Dehradun Airport on Monday. During the inspection, they held discussions with airport authorities and CISF officials and issued necessary instructions regarding the preparations.
The Prime Minister is expected to conduct the aerial inspection on either September 11 or 12. However, no official schedule has yet been released by the Prime Minister’s Office. In view of the possible visit, senior officials carried out detailed checks at the airport to ensure that all arrangements remain error-free.
