Preparations Complete for Uttarakhand Monsoon Session in Bharadisain

Speaker Ritu Khanduri Bhushan confirmed that all arrangements are in place for the Uttarakhand Assembly’s monsoon session, scheduled to begin on August 19 at Bharadisain in Gairsain, the state’s summer capital. So far, 547 questions have been received from 32 MLAs.

The Speaker chaired a high-level meeting with senior departmental officials to review security and logistical arrangements. Strict entry protocols will be enforced, allowing only two guests on a minister’s recommendation and two on an MLA’s recommendation. Vehicles of assembly staff without entry permits will not be allowed inside.

The session will operate under the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA) system, with ITDA instructed to ensure seamless operation. Telecom companies will provide high-speed internet, and Wi-Fi will be available throughout the complex. Continuous power, water supply, and healthcare facilities will be maintained during the proceedings.

While Bharadisain remains the planned venue, the Speaker said the government could shift the session to Dehradun if weather conditions demand. She urged legislators to uphold the dignity of the House and engage in constructive discussions for the state’s development.
