A new golden chapter was added to the history of Ramnagari on Thursday as the consecration (pran-pratishtha) of the Ram Darbar idols took place in the grand premises of the Ram Temple. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the sacred ceremony as the chief guest, further adding to the spiritual grandeur of the occasion.
The pran-pratishtha of Ram Darbar and seven other deities was conducted during the auspicious Abhijeet Muhurat between 11:25 AM and 11:40 AM on the holy day of Ganga Dussehra. The ritual began at 6 AM with sacred Vedic chants resonating from all directions. A spiritual ambiance enveloped the temple premises with the combined voices of priests, scholars, and saints, along with the sound of conch shells and the fragrance of yajna.
This auspicious day also marked the anniversary of the pran-pratishtha of the Rameshwaram shrine, creating a unique celestial alignment. All deities were worshipped at the yajna mandap before consecration.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed abhishek of all eight deities. The curtain over the Ram Darbar idols was lifted, revealing a resplendently adorned image of Raja Ram. Nineteen prominent saints and religious leaders from Ayodhya were present at the event, along with key members of the temple trust, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and Vishva Hindu Parishad.
Before arriving at the temple, CM Yogi also offered prayers at Hanumangarhi. He reached Ayodhya at 10:30 AM as scheduled and was welcomed at Ramkatha Park by Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, other public representatives, and BJP officials.
