Former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, along with his wife Savita Kovind and daughter Swati Kovind, visited Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. They were welcomed with Vedic chants, conch sounds, and flower showers by the Rishikumars of the Parmarth Gurukul.
Ashram president Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Ram Nath Kovind engaged in a meaningful discussion on Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals, Indian culture, values, and traditions. Swami Chidanand honored the former president with a Rudraksha sapling as a symbol of respect and connection with nature on the sacred banks of the Ganga.
Swami Chidanand Saraswati described Kovind’s life as a source of inspiration, highlighting his journey from a humble rural background to India’s highest constitutional office. He said that Indian identity goes beyond geography—it is a sentiment rooted in unity in diversity, reverence in culture, and a spirit of coexistence.
