Republic Day: Daring Flypast of Fighter Jets Captivates the Nation

New Delhi, January 26, 2025 – The Indian Air Force (IAF) enthralled the audience on Republic Day with a daring flypast featuring 40 aircraft. The display included 22 fighter jets, 11 transport planes, and 7 helicopters. Spectacular stunts by aircraft like Rafale, Sukhoi, Jaguar, Dornier, Apache helicopters, C-17, and C-295 showcased the Air Force’s prowess. The aircraft launched from 10 different bases and presented 12 stunning formations during the event.

Key Formations and Displays

The flypast began with the “Dhvaj” formation, followed by breathtaking displays such as Ajay, Satluj, Katar, Baaz, Rakshak, Arjan, Varun, Netra, and Bheem. Notable highlights included a five-Jaguar Arrow formation and a six-Rafale Vajrang formation that thundered through the skies. The Sukhoi jets’ Trishul formation and Rafale’s Vertical Charlie maneuver, which marked the finale, left spectators in awe at Kartavya Path.

Brave Pilots and Marching Contingents

IAF’s top pilots participated in the flypast. The Air Force marching contingent, led by Squadron Leader Mahendra Singh, included Flight Lieutenant Damini Deshmukh, Nepo Moirangthem, and Abhinav Ghosh. A total of 144 airmen marched in a 12×12 formation to the rhythm of the IAF band, symbolizing discipline and unity.

Motorcycle Display and Grand Conclusion

The Signal Corps personnel displayed astonishing stunts on Bullet motorcycles, including formations on ladders while saluting the President. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem and the release of tricolor balloons inscribed with symbols of the Constitution, symbolizing unity and pride.
