A serious accident occurred on the Rishikesh-Gangotri highway on Thursday near the Sarot Mandir gate, where a Tempo Traveller collided head-on with a car, leaving seven people injured. Three of the injured were in critical condition and have been referred to a higher medical center for advanced treatment.
According to reports, the car was carrying pilgrims from Muzaffarnagar and Noida who had completed their visit to Gangotri and Yamunotri and were en route to Kedarnath and Badrinath. The collision occurred between Tempo Traveller (HR55 AN 9647) and a car (UP12 BN 3833), causing significant damage and injuries.
Police from Chham police station quickly arrived at the scene and, with the help of the 108 emergency service, transported the injured to the nearby Community Health Center in Chham. Medical officials confirmed that three passengers with serious injuries were referred to a higher facility for further care.
