DM Reviews Rispana-Bindal Elevated Corridor Project, Stresses Inter-Departmental Coordination

District Magistrate Savin Bansal chaired a review meeting for the Rispana-Bindal Elevated Corridor Project on Thursday at the Rishiparna Auditorium. Emphasizing the importance of coordination, he directed all concerned departments to work collaboratively under one roof to ensure the timely execution of this high-priority project, which is being closely monitored by the state government.

During the meeting, officials from the construction agency (PWD) presented a detailed overview of the project. The DM instructed SDMs, the Municipal Corporation, MDDA, and UPCL to designate a common working site and conduct regular joint field visits to accelerate progress. The Sub Land Officer (SLO) was directed to expedite land acquisition, while MDDA and the Municipal Corporation were asked to submit a land bank report within three days. The DM also called for zone-wise and sector-wise field inspections and swift documentation for compensation processes.

The Rispana corridor is planned to span 11 kilometers with a budget of ₹2,500 crore. The Bindal corridor will be 15 kilometers long, with an estimated cost of ₹3,750 crore. The project includes the relocation of electric, high-tension, and sewer lines away from the riverbeds. Additionally, it will involve the construction of retaining walls, flood protection infrastructure, environmental restoration, and beautification along both rivers.

The Rispana project will impact 44.64 hectares of land, affecting 1,120 structures (771 permanent, 349 temporary). In comparison, the Bindal corridor will affect 43.91 hectares, including 1,494 structures (934 permanent, 560 temporary).

The review meeting was attended by SDM Sadar Harigiri, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Gopal Ram Binwal, SLO Smrita Parmar, SDM Kumkum Joshi, Superintending Engineer Mukesh Parmar, and PWD Executive Engineer Jitendra Kumar Tripathi, along with other departmental officials.
