Uttarakhand – To enhance road safety awareness and prevent accidents, the Uttarakhand government has decided to include road safety education in the curriculum up to Class 12. The rising number of road accidents in the state, especially due to rash driving, overspeeding, and riding without helmets, has raised concerns. To tackle this, the Transport Department has intensified awareness campaigns:
- 350 programs were conducted in 2022, and 475 programs in 2023.
- The number of awareness campaigns will be further increased this year.
