The ongoing Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, which commenced on January 13, has already witnessed over 10 crore devotees taking a holy dip at the Sangam. With an anticipated surge in visitors in the coming days, additional rail and bus services have been introduced to ensure smooth travel. On the occasion of Mauni Amavasya, the Indian Railways is running 150 special trains, while extra buses have been deployed from major bus terminals.

To enhance the comfort of pilgrims, Prayagraj Railway Station has introduced 70 sleeping pods. These include single, double, family pods, and special pink pods dedicated to women. According to Yogendra Pandey, the in-charge of the sleeping pods, these facilities offer a cozy and secure resting experience with provisions like phone and laptop charging, water, and washrooms.
