Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University will hold student union elections on September 27, 2025. The decision follows the academic calendar for 2025–26, which scheduled the polls in the last week of September. A review meeting chaired by the Vice-Chancellor on Saturday discussed the necessary arrangements for smooth conduct of the elections.
As per state directives, all universities in Uttarakhand will hold elections on the same day. The date was finalized in a joint meeting of the Vice-Chancellors of Sri Dev Suman University, Kumaun University Nainital, and Soban Singh Jeena University Almora.
The administration emphasized ensuring free and fair elections. In line with the Higher Education Directorate’s instructions, the posts of Treasurer and Joint Secretary have been reserved for female candidates this year. The reservation will rotate across different positions in future elections.
