Dehradun, October 24: In a significant move to support students who missed earlier admission deadlines, the Uttarakhand government has reopened the admission portal for higher education institutes. The extension, directed by Higher Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat, aims to assist those who were pre-registered but did not secure a place in state universities and affiliated colleges.
Key Details:
- The admission portal will be open from October 24 at 8:00 AM to October 25 at 5:00 PM.
- New registrations will not be accepted; only pre-registered students can apply.
Students interested in B.Ed, M.Ed, and Law courses can secure their seats through the Samarth Entrance Module based on merit. Institutions are accountable for upholding admission standards, with strict actions planned for any violations.

To maintain the quality of education, the Higher Education Department has mandated that classes continue as scheduled. Extended admissions will occur in the second shift after noon to avoid disrupting ongoing classes. Currently, 102,503 students registered for undergraduate admissions, with 63,167 securing places. In postgraduate admissions, 35,365 registered, with 15,394 completing the process.
