Pauri, (Chaubattakhal), 19 Nov: “India’s first Home Minister and the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made an extraordinary contribution to the integration of the country. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is following Patel’s ideals and playing an important role in ensuring the holistic development and uplift of all sections of society.”
These remarks were made by State Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj, who is the local MLA, at the closing ceremony of the “Unity March” organised on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, today, in Tehsil Chaubattakhal. He stated that grand celebrations are being held across the country to mark Patel’s 150th birth anniversary, and various programmes are being organised throughout Uttarakhand as well. As part of this series, the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chaubattakhal, organised the “Unity March”, which began from Naugaon Khal and concluded at Tehsil Chaubattakhal.
Maharaj added that Sardar Patel played a crucial role in ensuring the unity and integrity of India. After independence, he integrated more than 562 princely states to help build a strong and united nation. The Unity March taken out on his birth anniversary is a symbol of the BJP’s commitment to the nation’s unity and integrity.
The programme was attended by BJP Mandal President Rakesh Naithani, District General Secretary Mahipal Negi, former Block Chief Neeraj Panthri, Sarvendra, Shailesh Darshan, Narendra Dandariyal, Ved Prakash Verma, Prabhu Sharan Budakoti, Ganesh Rawat, Devendra Bhatt, Surendra Bisht, Seema Sajwan, along with numerous BJP workers and local residents.
After the programme, Cabinet Minister Maharaj met the family members of Rani Devi, a resident of Bagdigad, Pokhra Block, who died in a tiger attack. He expressed his condolences and assured the bereaved family all possible assistance.
