A tragic incident unfolded in Uttarakhand’s Pauri district where 30-year-old Suman, a photographer by profession, was crushed to death by a Pokland machine following an argument over giving way. The accused driver fled the scene immediately after the incident, which occurred on Saturday night between Gumkhal and Satpuli. Suman, a resident of Nausin village under Dwarikhal block, was considered the backbone of his family. His mother, Richa Dewrani, shared that Suman would frequently call home to check on the family and took full responsibility for their medical and household expenses. His father is speech and hearing impaired.
Suman’s grandmother remains in shock, unable to come to terms with the brutal death of her beloved grandson. Locals say that Suman was a well-known and responsible figure in the area. He got married to Pooja, a native of Bhupatwala (Haridwar), in 2019. His younger brother currently works in a private company in Gurgaon.
The incident has left the family devastated. Police are continuing their investigation and have assured the family of strict action against the accused.
