The results of the annual Swachh Survekshan 2024-25 were announced on Thursday at a ceremony held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. President Droupadi Murmu presented the cleanliness awards organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), in the presence of Union Minister Manohar Lal and other dignitaries.
In this nationwide cleanliness ranking, Dehradun Municipal Corporation secured the 62nd position. Harbertpur Municipality slipped three spots, falling from 56th to 59th. Notably, Harbertpur has not yet achieved open defecation-free (ODF) status and failed to qualify for the garbage-free city star rating.
Other rankings from Uttarakhand include Haridwar at 363rd, Almora at 907th, Haldwani at 291st, Kotdwar at 232nd, and Pithoragarh at 177th. Among these, Lalkuan stood out and was honoured by the President for its improved cleanliness efforts.
