Tragic Accident in Haridwar: 11-Year-Old Boy Dies as Vehicle Overturns on Way to Ganga Snan

Haridwar – A tragic accident occurred in Ranipur Majra, Pathri police station area of Haridwar, where a vehicle carrying villagers for a Ganga Snan overturned, leading to the death of an 11-year-old boy and injuries to five others. Two of the injured are in critical condition and have been referred to a higher medical center.

On Friday, after celebrating Holi, Meghraj and his family left for Ganga Snan in a Max vehicle. However, the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to overturn, creating panic among the passengers.

Upon receiving the information, Ferupur outpost in-charge Sudhanshu Kaushik and his team reached the spot and rushed the injured to the hospital. The deceased has been identified as Dev (11), son of Sachin Kumar. The injured include Sachin’s wife Vandana, Ramnivas’s wife Pooja, Meghraj’s wife Bhumesh, Ravindra’s 13-year-old son Aadi, and Sonu alias Ashish. Bhumesh and Aadi, who are critically injured, have been referred to a higher medical center.

The incident has left Ranipur Majra village in mourning, with locals gathering at Dev’s house to express condolences. Villagers have demanded financial assistance for the bereaved family and proper medical aid for the injured.

Pathri SHO Ravindra Kumar stated that the accident occurred when the villagers were on their way for Ganga Snan after celebrating Holi. The police are investigating the case.
